Hi,
I entered US using AP on Feb 27 09. My current AP is valid till 17th Oct 09. The date on my I-94 Feb 26 2010. The parole stamp on my passport also has the Feb 26 2010 date. What does the date on the I-94 and parole stamp mean
My question is if I go out of US in early October and want to come back after October 17th (AP expiry date) but before Feb 26 2010 (I-94 date) do I need a new/renewed AP, or can I enter US with my old AP since my parole stamp has Feb 26 date.

If Birth Certificate issue by Indian consulate then it should be ok, as it is from consulate
No, the birth certificate (issued by Indian Consulate) is not acceptable as this is based on the entry made in passport, not on the basis of registered date of birth.
You need birth certificate issued by municipality of the district. If it is not in English, then it has to be translated in English and notorized for true translation.

I am not really sure about the chances of such bills passing. Having an upper limit of 20k per year, similar to the quota for Master's in H1-B, might have relatively better chances of passing. Otherwise, all the anti-immigrant nuts from alipac and numbersusa will derail everything even before anything hits the discussion level...
btw, i read that the alipac founder was called lots of names in a NC newspaper...(details on their web-site)..that sounded like sweet nectar to me...he deserves all of it and more....the way he and all his honchos in their forum ban and bully everyone (not just illegal, but legal would-be immigrants)...just desserts!!!

I am currently holding L1 and B1 visa from a company A. Now some company B has applied for my H1 Visa. If I get H1b visa, does both L1 and B1 get cancelled.

Maybe you can give me my answer. I imported a file from Swift 3D, published, F12 to view, and then went control enter to view the size. After almost choking when I saw the size it added to my SWF (255K for a 7 letter word, spinning) I decided immediatley that was intolerable to my movie size requirements, and deleted the entire Swift 3D animation from my Movie. Took it out of the frames, the library, every place imaginable. And I was floored to find what it did to my Fla. It ruined it. My Fla went from 605K to 8.9 MEG. For all the various purposes of how I use an Fla, it is ruined. The ghost of that Swift 3D stays with my Fla even today. Like a cancer, cannot get rid of it. Can you tell me how to get it out so I can restore my Fla?

I was with with Company A and my H1B approval notice was until 2011 and my wife H4 approval notice was also until 2011.
Recently I changed to Company B, where this company applied only H1B transfer and received a receipt number for that and it is in pending status. And they are saying H4 transfer also applied at the same time but we didn't received the receipt notice yet.
In this H1B transfer process I got query on that petition, now Company B is saying I will not submit any documents for above query.
I have an EAD when I was with Company A and it is still valid. I am planning to move onto EAD.....
Can my wife change her status to F1 (Student) even her H4 transfer receipt is not available?
And the old H4 approval notice is still in approved status when I check in USCIS website.
Please help me in this situation, let me know all your opinion about this case.

It gets worse though when you realize this simple fact. The numbers from the National Visa Center do not include cases for folks NOT consular processing. Frankly, and just just like in October when I first wrote about this, we do not really know exactly how many cases are pending immigrant visa availability. What we do know is that the legal immigration system is broken.
When we hear politicians and uninformed folks yelling about illegal immigration and telling folks to wait in line like everyone else, the answer is, What Line?
These numbers once again poignantly express the dilemma that legal immigrants have. Many feel, justifiably, that any immigration reform must FIRST focus on legal immigration reform, cutting down wait times to reasonable periods, BEFORE anyone who entered into or remained in the U.S. without permission is given ANY legal benefits. Hello,
I currently hold H1b visa (cap quota), i have an offer from a non profit organization and they are willing to sponsor for my H1b (non cap as this is from a non profit org). I'd like to know will there be any problem if in future i plan to move to a company that will sponsor h1b (cap). How difficult is to transfer from non cap h1 to cap h1?
I read online that if i plan to move from a non-cap h1 to cap h1 in future i have to apply in April under the general quota and wait until Oct to start work again. though i can work until the petition is pending.
I'd really appreciate any advise...

Yep - got mine 2 months back. Docs to carry
- Original social security card.
- Original EAD card
- The first lady asked me to bring the employment letter. I did not have it with me, I went home to get it and got in another line, that dude did not even look at it.
- Passport and I-94 (They did not check this) I took it just in case
- Cash - 25$
You will get a 5 year license, but it will say that you are a temp visitor till your EAD expires. You will have to take your EAD in when the new EAD comes in.
Let me know if you need further details.

My I-485 is still pending past 180 days and I-140 is approved.
